All degree-seeking undergraduate students are required to meet with an academic advisor before registering for classes. Regular contact with an academic advisor is essential to student success.
Based on their major, students are advised either in one of three college advising centers or in academic departments.
New freshmen are contacted by a professional advisor to set an advising appointment.
New transfer students, new degree-seeking post-baccalaureate students, and students returning to UA Little Rock after having not enrolled for two years are contacted by one of the college advising centers to be connected with an advisor.
Continuing students taking classes for at least one semester can locate their advisor in BOSS.
- Visit blackboard.ualr.edu and log in with your NetID
- From Quick Links, choose “Access Your Records” to visit BOSS.
- Select the Student Services tab.
- Select “My Advisor” from the list.
- Select the current semester.
- View your advisor’s name and contact info.
