ECET 20544 - (was 2405) Electrical Technology


Three hours lecture. Three hours laboratory per week. Four credit hours.

Was ECET 2405. An introductory course in electrical technology for majors other than electronics and computer engineering technology. A review of basic quantities including current, voltage, power, and energy. An introduction to machines and transformers, including direct current motors, induction motors, stepper motors, synchronous generators, and transformers.

Prerequisites: Grade of C or greater in MATH 12003 .
Corequisites: PHYS 20203  and PHYS 20201 .
