Progressive Prosecution: Law & Policy - LAWB 6269 Credits Hours: 2
Progressive Prosecution: Law & Policy is a seminar course that requires students to create a quality written work produce in the style of a law review article. The course draws upon the broad depth of scholarship, documentaries, journalistic reports, and interviews devoted to discussing, debating, and evaluating the emergence and impact of the progressive prosecution movement and asks students to consider how the movement can actually work to reform the criminal justice system. Students will be required to read high-level critical theory, social and cultural anthropologies, and legal scholarship on law, criminal prosecution, and racial justice.
