CPSC 3385 - File Structures and Multimedia

Three hours lecture. Three credit hours.

In-depth study of sequential, indexed, and direct file structure; buffering, indexing; file systems; markup file structures including XML. Modern file representation including image files and sound files; Multimedia technology including CDROM, DVDs, and tape storage.

Prerequisites: CPSC 2380 and MATH 1452 or equivalent.
