SYEN 3378 - Engineering Thermodynamics

Three hours lecture. Three credit hours.

Properties of pure substances, thermodynamic processes, heat and work, the first law of thermodynamics, closed systems, enthalpy, open systems, the second law of thermodynamics, entropy, exergy, and an introduction to power and refrigeration cycles.

Prerequisites: CHEM 1402 or CHEM 1406, PHYS 2321, and MATH 1452, or consent of instructor.
