Communication Sciences and disorders Post-Baccalaureate, Advanced Certificate


The CSD post-Baccalaureate Advanced Certificate of proficiency includes 30 credit hours in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Elective courses are available for students taking less than 15 hours of course work in a semester. The course sequence and semesters offered are listed below:

American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA)


The American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) has additional course requirements outside the major which must be completed prior to the beginning your Clinical Fellow Experience. A review of your undergraduate transcript(s) provides evidence you have met the following requirements.

 

3 hrs Biological Sciences 

3 hrs Statistics

3 hrs Behavioral or Social Sciences 

3 hrs Chemistry or Physics 

A graduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders/Speech Language Pathology is required in order to practice in the U.S. ASHA has additional requirements for clinical practice. Arkansas has 5 universities which offer this graduate degree. UAMS, Harding, UCA, AR State & UA-Fayetteville
