NURS 1200 - Introduction to Nursing: Concepts I


Two (1.5 theory; 0.5 lab) credit hours.

The first of two fundamental nursing courses for beginning nursing students to establish the foundational knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to successfully move forward through the nursing program. This course will provide students with an introduction to Evidence-Based/Patient-Centered Healthcare Concepts, Concepts of the Professional Role and the Global Concepts of the Nursing Process, Technical Skills, Critical Thinking/Clinical Judgment, and Safety. Classroom theory will be applied in the Skills Lab.
