CHEM 52031 - (was 5120) Biochemistry I Laboratory


Three hours laboratory per week. One credit hours.

Was CHEM 5120. Laboratory techniques will involve the identification of amino acids originating from peptides, evaluation of biological constituents using enzymes, measurement of protein concentrations, enzyme kinetic studies, and the separation of proteins by gel electrophoresis and other techniques. Dual listed in the Undergraduate Catalog as CHEM 42031 (was CHEM 4120).

Prerequisites: CHEM 21033 (was CHEM 2310), CHEM 36203 (was 3351), and either CHEM 36201 (was CHEM 3151) or CHEM 35032 (was CHEM 3250) with a grade of C or greater.
