Was CHEM 5321. Continuation of Biochemistry I, covering energy generation, metabolism of lipids and amino acids, integration of metabolism, DNA replication and repair, transcription, translation, and control of gene expression. Dual listed in the Undergraduate Catalog as CHEM 42233 (was CHEM 4321). Students who have completed CHEM 42233 for credit may not enroll in CHEM 52133 (was CHEM 5321).

Prerequisites: CHEM 4420 or 5420.
