Was HIST 5391. Advanced study of a topic in United States history chosen by instructor; includes a major research and writing project incorporating the department’s goals of identifying a problem; establishing a thesis; gathering, evaluating, and analyzing evidence; and writing in an appropriate scholarly format. Dual listed in the Undergraduate Catalog as HIST 48033 (was HIST 4391)

Prerequisites: History 2311, 2312, three hours of upper-level United States history.
