Three credit hours.

Was ENGL 5315. A study of national, regional, and social varieties of English with special attention to the political, cultural, and economic issues facing the use of English as a world language or lingua franca. Dual listed in the Undergraduate Catalog as ENGL 45543 (was ENGL 4315).

Prerequisites: ENGL 35133 (was ENGL 3311) or ENGL 35333 (was ENGL 3313) recommended.
