Was HIED 8344. Examines the legal issues of interest to higher education faculty members. Areas of focus include academic integrity, student rights and responsibilities, intellectual property rights, fair employment, due process, tenure, affirmative action, and legal liability. Court cases, statues, the Constitution, and regulations serve as the basis for discussion.

Prerequisites: graduate status.
