PHYS 78954 - (was 7489) Graduate Research Four credit hours.
Was PHYS 7489. Scholarly research and individual investigation on a topic in physics or astronomy; student will analyze, plan, and conduct experimental or theoretical work on a research problem. The student will spend four to six hours per week for each hour of credit earned. The exact hourly commitment per week will depend on the nature of the project and will be agreed on in advance by the student and the instructor; a memorandum of understanding must be signed by the student, instructor, and chairperson.
Prerequisites: consent of department chairperson.
