MEEG 52643 - (was 5326) Measurement Techniques


Two hours lecture. Two hours laboratory per week. Three credit hours.

Was MEEG 5326. Principles of operation and implementation of transducers used in electronic measuring systems. Sensors used for the measurement of strength, capacitance, pressure, flow, force velocity, temperature, humidity, vibration, sound, and acceleration are discussed. Interfacing transducers with a digital system will be emphasized. Effects of quantization, scaling, sampling time, and bandwidth will be examined. Dual listed in the Undergraduate Catalog as MEEG 4326

Prerequisites: SYEN 3373 or equivalent and SYEN 3374 
Corequisites: MEED 4315
