MEEG 53543 - (was 5335) Mechatronics I Three hours lecture. Three credit hours.
Was MEEG 5335. The combination of classical mechanical design, electronic analysis and design, control engineering, and computer programming in the design of complex electric-mechanical-controlled systems. Commonly used sensors (Encoders, potentiometers, accelerometers) and actuators (stopping motors, DC motors) are studied. Interfacing sensors and actuators to a microcontroller, state-space and discrete controller design. Introduction to real-time programming. Dual listed in the Undergraduate Catalog as MEEG 43543
Prerequisites: MATH 32263 and 31263 or equivalents.
