MEEG 5376 - Mechanics of Materials 11


Three credit hours.

The MSEG faculty are preparing advanced courses in the four fundamental mechanical sciences (Fluid Mechanics, Mechanics of Materials, Dynamics, Thermodynamics) required for the masters, PhD, and early entry graduate programs. 

Prerequisite: “Mechanics of Materials I (MEEG 3373)” is the introductory course that is required for all mechanical systems engineering student or consent of instructor.  “Mechanics of Materials II (MEEG 4376)”, which is the advanced course, is an elective course for undergraduate students. The graduate students who are in Mechanical and Material Engineering track will be required to take MEEG 5376. A different grading scale, an extra project, and advanced assignments will differentiate the undergraduate and graduate courses. If take as MEEG 4376 the course can not be taken at the 5000 level.  Dual-listed in the Undergraduate Catalog as MEEG 4376. Three credit hours.
