BIOL 1402 - Biological Concepts I Three hours lecture. Three hours laboratory per week. Four credit hours.
This course is designed for the well-prepared student who intends to major in the field of biology. It focuses on the principles that unify the science of biology. Students will develop a deep understanding of how scientific principles have been used to demonstrate that all organisms are parts of interacting systems from the molecular to the ecosystem level. The course relies heavily on the molecular and cellular basis of the structure and function of organisms.
