ASCI 56003 - (was 5360) Potential Theory Three credit hours.
Was ASCI 5360. Solution to Laplace’s equation using different boundary and initial conditions. One-, two-, and three-dimensional equations will be analyzed. Various coordinate systems (rectangular, cylindrical, and spherical) will be used in the solution of the Laplace function, the Associate Legendre function, and othogonality of the Legendre function.
Prerequisites: MATH 24004 (was MATH 1451), MATH 25004 (was MATH 1452), MATH 26004 (was MATH 2453), and MATH 32263 (was MATH 3322).
