Was BIOL 5417. A study of molecular biology theory and practice. Emphasizing the study of model systems to understand the current approaches and laboratory techniques necessary to answer basic questions in current molecular biology.

Prerequisites: 19 hours in Biology, including both BIOL 20194 (was BIOL 2401) and BIOL 30883 (was BIOL 3300), and CHEM 14204 (was 1403), B.S. in Biology, or instructor consent. Successful completion of either BIOL 30084 (was BIOL 3400) or BIOL 40694 (was BIOL 4401) is strongly encouraged.
