Was CPSC 5382. Fundamental principles of compiler design, such as finite state machines and context-free grammars. Compilation techniques include compile and run-time symbol tables, lexical analysis, syntax analysis, semantic analysis, object code generation, error diagnostics, and optimization. Dual listed in the Undergraduate Catalog as CPSI 48203 (was CPSC 4382).
Prerequisites: CPSI 38303 (was CPSC 3383).
