ECON 75043 - (was 7350) Applied Econometrics Three credit hours.
Was ECON 7350. Introduces students to the skills used in empirical research, including, but not limited to, data collection, model specifications, regression analysis, violations of regression assumptions and corrections, indicator variables, linear restrictions tests, and limited dependent variable models. Focuses on the intuition and application of econometric methods, and statistical software is used extensively. Students will be required to complete an independent research project involving the application of regression analysis.
Prerequisites: ECON 7320 or equivalent.
