Was READ 7310. Candidates will explore how literacy learning takes place among diverse populations, including second language learners. Candidates explore the role of literature in promoting cross cultural understandings in a student-centered literacy curriculum. Specific topics include selecting literature and learning best practices to create a classroom that promotes social justice and critical literacy.
