SPED 53033 - (was 5330) Severe Disabilities Three credit hours.
Was SPED 5330. This course focuses on current best practices in curriculum, and methods for students with severe disabilities, including specific strategies for teaching students with severe disabilities, general strategies for working with heterogeneous groups of students in inclusive settings, and methods for adapting the general education curriculum to include students with severe disabilities in elementary, middle, and high school.
Prerequisites: admission to the program; SPED 4301, EDFN 3320, READ 3320, READ 3322, TCED 3383.
