SOCI 57633 - (was 5376) Sociology of Health & Illness Three credit hours.
Was SOCI 5376. A critical examination of how cultural, social-structural, and institutional forces shape our understanding and experience of health and illness. We will discuss several topics such as how gender, race/ethnicity, and socioeconomic status (SES) affect health outcomes. We will explore these topics using multidisciplinary and international perspectives. Dual listed in the Undergraduate Catalog as SOCI 4376
