ECED 52003 - (was 5320) Health, Safety, & Physical Ed

Three credit hours.

Was ECED 5320. Within a block of 15 hours of new Early Childhood courses that lead to an endorsement in Pre-K (Ages 3-4). Students will explore national standards for young children’s physical education, nutrition, health, and safety. Students will attend lectures, complete assigned readings, develop lesson plans, complete field projects, and make presentations. Dual listed in the Undergraduate Catalog as ECED 42003 (was ECED 4320).

Prerequisites: Admission to the Elementary Education program or K-6 licensure.
Corequisites: ECED 50001 (was ECED 5100) or 50032 (was ECED 5200) and placement in a field classroom to complete projects.
