Cybersecurity Technical Certificate

This Cybersecurity Technical Certificate provides students with opportunities for an entry-level career in cybersecurity or to augment their education with a better understanding of the cybersecurity discipline. The certificate stacks on top of the Cybersecurity Certificate of Proficiency and stacks into the Cybersecurity Advanced Technical Certificate.

BINS 4312 - Object-Oriented Programming
AP Credit in Computer Science

Five Courses in Cybersecurity:

CSEC 1310 - Introduction to Cybersecurity
CSEC 2310 - System Security
CSEC 2320 - Access Control
CSEC 2324 - Network Security
CSEC 2314 - Incident Response

One Course in Mathematics:

MATH 2310 - Discrete Mathematics

And One of the Following:

IFSC 2200 - Ethics in the Profession
PHIL 2321 - Ethics and Society: Professional Applications

Totaling 23-24 credit hours for the certificate.

Certificates may be earned independent of a degree program.
