HIST 42853 - (was 4328) South Africa in World History Three credit hours.
Was HIST 4328. We will examine South Africa’s development from the seventeenth century to the present. In particular, we will explore how the geography of southern Africa shaped the emergence of a group of distinct cultures, and how the expansion of racial divisions influenced South African society. We will also focus on the forces of tradition and modernity in the new South Africa. Dual listed in the Graduate Catalog as HIST 52853 (was HIST 5328).
