NURS 13003 - (was 1330) Concepts of Adult Nursing


Three credit hours.

Was NURS 1330. Focuses on the coordination of patient-centered care and the evidence for planning priorities based on the health problem, symptoms, client/caregiver beliefs, and the values of adult clients. Exemplars include acute and chronic health problems common in adulthood that require interdisciplinary management. Students develop nursing knowledge, skills, and attitudes in the competencies of safety, teamwork and collaboration, quality improvement, and informatics with laboratory experiences in structured healthcare settings and completion of a service learning activity with direct faculty supervision. Split Credit Hours: Two (2) credit hours of theory. One (1) credit hour clinical. Summer - one 5-week semester.

Prerequisites:  BIOL 23394 , or BIOL 24004 , and BIOL 24104  
Corequisites: NURS 13001
