Core Requirements (35 hours)

• Major in French (30 hours above the 1000 level), Spanish (33 hours above the 1000 level)
• Minor in Education (18 hours)
• Second Language Education Block (12 hours)
• A “teachable” minor is recommended (18-21 hours)
• Total 95-99 hours (not including minor)

An official ACTFL-certified Oral Proficiency Interview is required for all students seeking Teacher Licensure in French or Spanish. Certification at the Advanced-low oral proficiency level is required. See “Education Minor ” for further details.

Any part of the minor in education and the second language education block may be met by demonstration of competency.
