ANTH 4341 - North American Archaeology


Three credit hours.

An overview of the archaeology of the United States and Canada, with specific emphasis on the Southeastern and South Central regions. Topics to be covered include initial peopling, technologies, subsistence strategies, settlement patterns, migration, symbolism and iconography, and the effects of early European colonization. Dual listed in the Graduate Catalog as ANTH 5341

Prerequisites: ANTH 3313 ANTH 3320 , or equivalent course.
