SPED 40343 - (was 4303) Assistive Technology in SPED

Three hours lecture. Three credit hours.

Was SPED 4303. Prepares teachers to respond to individuals’ functional needs to enhance general or special education curricula access. Candidates will identify and assess how to evaluate, select, and use hardware and software to enhance instruction. Candidates will also learn to assist students with school-related tasks, help students communicate, and help students function better in their environment. Dual listed in the Graduate Catalog as SPED 50343 (was SPED 5303)

Prerequisites: Successful completion of the Teacher Education Block.
