CRJU 30473 - Community Corrections

Three credit hours.

Discussions regarding the historical development of probation and parole, how probation and parole operate, legal challenges surrounding probation and parole, the research on their effectiveness, and future directions for the probation and parole field. Special emphasis will be on the role of the probation/parole officer and how probation is integrated into the juvenile justice system.
