CPSI 45003 - Deep Learning

Three credit hours.

This course offers a comprehensive overview of deep learning, with a focus on the foundational architectures of artificial neural networks and their associated learning rules. Students will gain extensive hands-on experience by applying deep learning techniques to a wide range of real-world problems across domains including industry and science. The course emphasizes strategies for optimizing neural networks such as regularization, pruning, and model compression. By the end of the course, students will be proficient in developing, evaluating, and deploying deep learning models using widely adopted Python libraries, including PyTorch, Keras, and TensorFlow.
