Was BIOL 4409. A study of the principles of plant identification, classification, systematics, and nomenclature. Major families of flowering plants with emphasis on the floristics of the immediate area. Dual listed in the Graduate Catalog as BIOL 50994 (was BIOL 5409).

Prerequisites: BIOL 10004 or BIOL 10104, BIOL 20304 or their equivalent.
