CHEM 34033 - (was 3340) Introduction to Inorganic Chemistry Three hours lecture. Three credit hours.
Was CHEM 3340. A study of inorganic chemistry with emphasis on chemical bonding theories (both covalent and ionic molecules), periodic properties with isolation and synthesis associated with a few main group elements, acid/base concepts, introduction to transition metals, coordination complexes (name, structures, isomers, chelate effects). Required for BA and BS majors.
Prerequisites: CHEM 25034 or CHEM 36053 with a grade of C or greater.
