ECET 3308 - Robotics and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)


Two hours lecture. Three hours laboratory per week. Three credit hours.

A study of the operation of PLCs, including ladder logic programming and interfacing to industrial-type equipment, such as motors. Programming topics include bit addressing, timers, counters, and switches. The application of PLCs for robotic control will be examined.

Prerequisites: Grade of C or greater in ECET 1404  or ECET 2405 .
