ETME 3318 - Industrial and Environmental Safety Three hours lecture. Three credit hours.
Need and justification for safety in the workplace. Legal aspects of safety and the OSHA Act. Environmental requirements and emission standards. Scope of human factors and safety management. Planning and implementation of safety measures to counteract various industrial hazards such as mechanical, electrical, fire, noise, and toxic substances.
Prerequisites: Grades of C or greater in ETME 2117 and ETME 2317 , or consent of instructor.
