INTR 37203 - (was 3372) Interpreting for Persons who are Hard of Hearing

Three credit hours.

Was INTR 3372. A study of the mechanics and skills needed for interpreting for persons who are deaf and hard of hearing and use assistive listening technology, oral transliterating, cued Speech, or speech-to-text services. Students will develop and practice appropriate techniques necessary for interpreting for persons who are deaf and hard of hearing, who do not know sign language, and who use the above methods for communication.
