MUED 42252 - (was 4222) Teaching General Music


Two credit hours.

Was MUED 4222. A practical course for music teachers, emphasizing selection of music and methods of teaching classroom music to children in elementary school. Students will learn: characteristics of child growth and their implications in music, how to establish music objectives, and how to translate objectives into a developmental sequence of experiences.

Prerequisites: MUED 20042 ; For music majors only or with the consent of instructor.
