MUTH 42003 - (was 4320) Basic Composition

Three credit hours.

Was MUTH 4320. Study of methods and styles of musical compositions written by students. Various methods of beginning an original composition are discussed and demonstrated in addition to lectures and demonstrations on the small forms of composition. Students have the opportunity to apply prior theory knowledge and receive individual attention.

Prerequisites: MUTH 26133  or consent of instructor.
