NURS 31083 - (was 3310) Professional Nursing Role Development


Three credit hours.

Was NURS 3310. Prerequisite to all other required upper-level nursing courses except NURS 32082  and NURS 32982 . Focuses on the process of socialization into nursing as a profession. The process explores the impact of historical and current events in the development of the professional role of the nurse. Knowledge, skills, and attitudes related to QSEN competencies (EBP, T/C, QI, S, PCC, and I) in professional nursing and the BSN curriculum are included. A personal philosophy of nursing will be explored within the framework of various nursing theories. Partial term.

Prerequisites: Admission into the BSN Program.
