SOCI 47633 - (was 4376) Sociology of Health and Illness Three credit hours.
Was SOCI 4376. A critical examination of how cultural, social-structural, and institutional forces shape our understanding and experience of health and illness. We will discuss several topics, such as how gender, race/ethnicity, and socioeconomic status (SES) affect health outcomes. We will explore these topics using multidisciplinary and international perspectives. Dual listed in the Graduate Catalog as SOCI 5376.
