UNIV 10093 - (was MSCI 1300) Boots to Books

Three hours lecture. Three credit hours.

Was MSCI 1300. Designed to help veteran students transition into a successful academic journey. It will help students reach their educational objectives. The interactive instructional methods promote the development of critical thinking skills and positive educational values. The students will (I) learn about UA Little Rock’s systems and resources available to the students to aid in their success; (2) build connections with faculty, peers, and the Military Student Success Center staff; (3) discover how skills they learned in the military transfer into the civilian sector; (4) acquire skills needed to promote study, personal wellness, goal setting and achievement; and (5) explore career possibilities within different majors. This course replaces This is a three-credit-hour course that meets the First-Year Experience Courses requirements.

Prerequisites: Must be a veteran or military member.
