Was ARHA 3312. ARHS 31203 is the third course in the three World Art Surveys. It explores art and architecture from around the world from about the mid-19th century to the present. The course is part of a three-semester survey sequence that is designed to acquaint the student with the arts of Asia, Africa, Europe, the Americas, and the Pacific Island. In addition, this course aims to hone students’ research, writing, and critical thinking skills. This course is required for most art majors and art history majors and minors. It may be an elective course for other students.
