INTR 26002 - (was 2260) Service Learning in the Deaf Community


Two credit hours.

Was INTR 2260. Students learn the definition of civic engagement by interacting with key members of the ASL Community. The course provides concrete experiences that allow opportunities for students to reflect on their understanding of ASL and the individuals who use it. Students will design community service projects for various organizations within the ASL Community. Taking this course at the end of the associate’s program allows students to integrate academic and experiential learning.

Prerequisites: INTR 22003
