NURS 21084 - (was 2410) OB/Reproductive Health Nursing Four credit hours.
Was NURS 2410. A study of the current evidence base for patient-centered care during the reproductive years, emphasizing normal childbearing processes. Exemplars illustrating expected processes and common problems occurring during childbearing will be used to facilitate students’ application of decision-making skills to prioritize care as multidisciplinary team members. Students will provide patient/family discharge teaching and implement original community teaching projects, further developing quality improvement and informatics skills. Laboratory experiences will occur in simulation, acute care, and community settings. Two theory; Two lab.
Prerequisites: NURS 11094 or NURS 12094 or NURS 13003 & NURS 13001 . Prerequisite/Concurrent: CHEM 10234 or CHEM 10544 .
