SPED 40169 - (was 4901) Internship I (K-6) Nine credit hours.
Was SPED 4901. Internship I provides special education teacher candidates a semester-long clinical experience in either K-6 or 7-12 to practice and demonstrate skills and competencies required to effectively teach learners with disabilities. As part of the year-long residency, Internship I is designed so candidates gain competence in assessment, instructional planning, and implementing specialized Instructional strategies, accommodations, and modifications. Candidates will also participate in following individualized education plans, co-teaching experiences, utilizing inclusive practices, and using universal design for learning (UDL) principles.
