NURS 3440 - Research and Evidenced-Based Practice in Nursing


Four (3 theory; 1 lab) credit hours.

This course provides an overview of scientific evidence integrated into nursing practice. The focus is on knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for the research process, including evaluating and disseminating best practices to improve healthcare outcomes. Further emphasis is on the significance of research as it contributes to the nursing profession. An integrated practice project will be completed. Part of term course.

Prerequisites: PSYC 2310 SOCI 3381 /3181, STAT 2350 , or EDFN 4315  
Prerequisite/Concurrent: NURS 3310 .
